AISMLHC 11 – Lie to him

Prev ToC Next

Qiao Xi laughed quietly under the table.

Lu Huo’s eyes were a little helpless as he looked at the girl with clear eyes beneath his feet.

Qiao Xi’s hand gripped Lu Huo’s feet and wouldn’t let go. She even lightly pinched him with her fingertips and said quietly, “Mobile phone.”

Lu Huo’s body instantly tensed.

Did the girl try pinching him with her soft fingertips, despite the fact that she used no force at all? It’s more like she’s seducing him.

He lowered his gaze and used his eyes to warn Qiao Xi.

Qiao Xi could only let go, her gaze fixed on him.

Lu Huo’s thin lips pursed tightly. Under the watchful eyes of Steward Lu and Dr. Jin, his hand on the armrest reached for the bottom of the table, and Qiao Xi grabbed it in the next second.

Lu Huo felt the cool fingertips writing back and forth on his palm as his long eyelashes trembled slightly.

The girl’s strength was very light, and the palm of his hand was itchy, like a small ant biting at the tip of his heart bit by bit, making people uncomfortable and unbearable but powerless to stop it.

Lu Huo’s eyes darkened as if he couldn’t take it any longer, and he closed his palms and grabbed the girl’s hand.

Qiao Xi blinked, she wasn’t done writing yet.

Lu Huo did not look at the girl under the table; instead, he clasped the girl’s hand without expression.

“Young Master Huo,” Dr. Jin wanted to take a step forward and say, “I’m going to check you.”

“It’s inconvenient here, let’s go out for the check-up.” After finishing his speech, Lu Huo let go of Qiao Xi’s hand, turned the wheelchair, and walked away from the desk.

Dr. Jin and Steward Lu followed.

The study fell silent, Qiao Xi did not move, and who knows when they would return.

She lowered her gaze to the hand he was holding. Lu Huo squeezed her hand so tightly that the back of it turned bright red.

Outside, Lu Huo noticed Qiao Xi’s phone on the table and pretended to put it away, but the phone suddenly rang the next second.

Dr. Jin and Steward Lu both looked at him at the same time.

Lu Huo calmly hung up the phone.

“Young master, this is…” Steward Lu questioned.

“Put your mobile phone away,” Lu Huo said as he frowned and handed the phone to the maid who was standing nearby.

The maid was startled for a moment, but she quickly recovered, saying, “I’m sorry, young master, I just put it down while I was cleaning.”

“I’m sorry young master, I’ll pay attention next time,” she said as she quickly took the phone with the cherry blossom pink phone case and placed it in her pocket.

Steward Lu cast a glance at the maid and remained silent.

Dr. Jin took a step forward and examined Lu Huo’s legs. Steward Lu and the maid exited the room consciously.

Since he was a child, Lu Huo has been unable to walk. The strange thing is that his feet are conscious in the same way that normal people are.

Dr. Jin squatted and examined Lu Huo’s legs.

Because he couldn’t walk, his legs are thinner than normal people’s, and perhaps because Lu Huo insists on massaging all the time, his muscle atrophy in both legs isn’t critical.

The skin of Lu Huo’s two calves was blue and black, as if he had been poisoned. He couldn’t help but be shocked when he first saw it. Old Man Lu told him that it appeared suddenly when Lu Huo was a child, and it was blueish black with growing portions.

This young man was clearly good looking, but his legs were hideous.

This is also why Lu Huo wears trousers every day and even covers them with a small blanket at times.

Dr. Jin had identified that the bluish blacks were similar to birthmarks and had no effect on Lu Huo.

If Bao Fu sees it, he will immediately recognize that the blueish black on Lu Huo’s legs is made up entirely of black energy. As long as the black energy is removed, the blueish black on Lu Huo’s legs will fade, and he will be able to walk at the same time.

“It’s done, Young Master Huo.” Dr. Jin examined them. Lu Huo’s feet have remained this way for many years, and there has been no change. But he knew that Lu Huo had clearly put in a lot of effort and suffered a lot to keep the status quo in the family.

He requires daily joint activity and muscle strength training, which is not an easy task.

“Yes,” Lu Huo said without asking a question.

After Steward Lu and Dr. Jin left, they still needed to inform Old Man Lu about Lu Huo’s situation.

Only after the maid handed the phone back to Lu Huo did her heart calm down.

Lu Huo went back to his small study, which was very quiet.

“They’re gone, you can come out,” Lu Huo said.

Under the desk, there was no movement.

Lu Huo remained silent for a moment before turning the wheelchair over.

He noticed the girl under the table with her hands on her legs, bending her slender body, her dark eyes moist, and she looked at him eagerly.

“Come out!” said Lu Huo, his thin lips pursed tightly.

Even if the lighting under the table is poor, the girl’s fair face appears to be plated with a layer of white and clear light. She looked obedient and pitiful at this time, rather than the rogue she was when her eyes were full of mischief.

“Lu Huo, my legs are numb,” Qiao Xi said, stretching out her hands.

Lu Huo’s dark eyes met hers in silence.

Qiao Xi blinked, her eyes filled with water, and she looked pitiful. “My legs are so numb, I can’t walk,” she said. She reached out and tapped her legs as she spoke.

Lu Huo clenched his teeth.

Qiao Xi sat on Lu Huo’s lap as they left the study, leaning softly on his chest, her hands on his shoulders, and her eyes full of smiles.

When the maid who was waiting outside noticed them, she had to admire the young couple’s ability to play. Old Man Lu’s subordinates had just left, and they were huddling together once more, with no fear.

Qiao Xi was reluctant to leave as she watched the golden energy on the back of her hand soar again, from 36% to 37%.

“Your phone just rang, and I hung up on you.” Lu Huo handed the phone back to Qiao Xi.

Only then did Qiao Xi realize she had forgotten to tell her mother she would return home later.

“I’m leaving. Give me your contact information, we are now friends,” Qiao Xi said as she returned her phone to Lu Huo.

“I don’t have a phone.” Lu Huo cocked his brow. “A friend sitting on my lap?” His tone was flat.

Qiao Xi: …

“I’m leaving,” she snorted as she stepped away from Lu Huo’s arms.

The girl’s back swayed and she faded away outside the door.

She obviously lied to him when she said her legs were numb.

Little liar!

The sky was completely dark when she returned to Qiao’s house.

“Why are you returning so late, Xiao Xi? Have you eaten yet?” Mother Qiao noticed her daughter’s face was rosy, and she was relieved, even happy.

Her daughter’s face has improved in recent days; her little face is white and rosy, she is more beautiful, and she looks healthier.

“I’m so hungry~ I haven’t eaten yet.” Qiao Xi’s voice was pleasant, her tone stretched, with a hint of coquettishness. Mother Qiao’s heart was about to melt, so she hurriedly asked the kitchen to bring the warm food.

“Xixi, that child has been out all day, and I don’t know why she hasn’t returned yet,” she said as she sat next to her daughter and continued serving her food.

“Has she not returned yet?” Qiao Xi thought about her plan on planting trees, “Don’t worry, Mom; she told me before going out today that she was going to exercise.”

Mother Qiao nodded, unconcerned. “Xiao Xi, this is the fish mom made; you should eat more and grow more meat to be healthy.”

Mother Qiao was unaffected without Zhao Yuxi’s golden finger filter, and her eyes were filled with her own daughter.

Zhao Yuxi returned not long after.

“Ah, what’s the matter with you, Xixi?” Mother Qiao looked at her niece, who was in a state of embarrassment, her eyes wide with surprise.

Qiao Xi had just finished her meal and was sipping tea with Mother Qiao. Zhao Yuxi’s face was red, her lips were dry, her hair was messy, her clothes were wrinkled, and her entire body was weak and haggard.

“I’m a little tired, Auntie.” Zhao Yuxi’s voice was hoarse because she hadn’t had anything to drink all day.

When the system determines that her mission was a fail, it will activate the bad luck mode for a week.

When she left the desolate suburbs, she discovered that the phone had run out of power and had been turned off. She couldn’t call a cab, so she had to walk back to the city from the deserted suburbs.

She walked for several hours in the hot sun.

When she returned to the city, she managed to hail a taxi and was involved in a car accident. Fortunately, the driver was only slightly hurt and was unharmed.

She was exhausted by the end of the day.

“Come and sit down, have you eaten yet? I’ll have someone prepare something for you to eat again.” Her daughter had eaten up the most of of the hot meals just now. “There are some cakes left in the kitchen, so eat them first.”

Zhao Yuxi nodded because she was tired and hungry.

“What happened to Zhao Yuxi?” Qiao Xi inquired of Bao Fu.

[The bad woman failed her mission and was punished]

Bao Fu’s baby voice was full of excitement.

“Huh? What punishment?” Qiao Xi became curious.

[Bad women will be unlucky within a week]

Bao Fu copied the information from Zhao Yuxi’s low-level system.

For a moment, Qiao Xi was stunned, but she quickly realized that Zhao Yuxi’s appearance clearly indicated that the punishment had already begun.

“Xixi, have some snacks first.” Mother Qiao had just gone to tell the chef to make some more food, and she had also brought a snack.

“Thank you very much, Auntie.” Zhao Yuxi’s face was filled with gratitude. She was starving and rushed to eat.

An unknown variety show was playing on the TV in the living room at the time, and the guests inside were planting trees.

Qiao Xi remembered Little Lili in the hospital. The child was adorable. Zhao Yuxi would have taken her green energy and died within a few days if she hadn’t been stopped.

Thinking about this, Qiao Xi became upset and mentioned, “It turns out that planting trees is so difficult, we need to weed, loosen the soil, and dig holes.”

“Nothing in the world is easy,” Mother Qiao agreed.

“It’s no surprise that so many guests on the show worked together to plant trees,” Qiao Xi continued.

“Otherwise, one would undoubtedly die of exhaustion. However, no one should be so stupid as to go out and plant hundreds of trees by themselves.”

Zhao Yuxi’s throat was choked, and the cakes in her mouth immediately spewed out and coughed.

“What’s the matter, Xixi? Are you okay?” Mother Qiao rushed over to her and handed her the water.

“I’m fine,” Zhao Yuxi said after taking a few sips in a row. “I’m full. I’m going upstairs to shower.”

When Zhao Yuxi was about to finish her shower in the bathroom, she stepped on the shower gel that had been squeezed on the ground and fell to the ground with a loud “Bang!”

Even though it was only the first day, Zhao Yuxi had already broken her leg.

The Qiao family’s driver took her to the hospital to be treated. She finished, thought about the information provided by the system, and then went to the ward.

Little Lili sat on the bed, her strawberry hairpin on her head. Then she carefully took candy from her pocket and happily ate it.

Beautiful sister bought them for her.

She misses beautiful sister so much.

“You are Huang Lili.” Zhao Yuxi walked with difficulty to Little Lili’s ward while using crutches. The system provided a different ward number. The nurse finally informed her that Huang Lili had been moved to a single room.

The system had granted Zhao Yuxi the ability, and she could see that the green energy in Huang Lili’s hands had reached 100%, so it was no surprise that her mission had been declared a failure.

But what exactly is going on here?

The system had previously informed her that Huang Lili’s green energy is only 12 %, and she only needed to find a way to reduce Huang Lili’s green energy to 10% before she could take it.

“Do you know who I am?” Little Lili was eating candy, happy, and her little face was full of smiles.

Zhao Yuxi frowned; it shouldn’t be like this.

Huang Lili should be a modest child who is timid, depressed, and concerned that she will become a burden to her parents.

Why does she appear to have changed her personality now?

“I live in the room next door, like you, suffering from a serious disease that requires surgery, people like us, living is also tormenting, sometimes death is a relief instead,” Zhao Yuxi said.

“Pretty sister said if I want to be a gourmet when I grow up, I can’t die, and if I want to take good care of my parents, I can’t die,” Little Lili said, her two little brows furrowed.

She learned to teach people from Qiao Xi and taught Zhao Yuxi, “People who want to die are very stupid. Pretty sister said, there is no life after death. We can only eat candy every day if we live.”

The candy in her mouth is delicious. She enjoys the candy given to her by the pretty sister. She will also give candy to the pretty sister when she grows up.

Zhao Yuxi was taken aback; these were the words of a seven-year-old child? Is there something wrong with the system?

At this point, little Lili’s father returned with water.

Zhao Yuxi was so terrified that she fled with her crutches.

Inside the room.

Qiao Xi had no idea Zhao Yuxi had gone to find Little Lili. She had 40% of the gold energy today, and she was going to draw a small treasure chest at the suggestion of Bao Fu.

Bao Fu is overjoyed.

[Master, this time, drawing the small treasure chest will consume 7% of the gold energy.]

“Why is there more?” Qiao Xi asks.

[Master, drawing the small treasure chest will take longer than usual, but so will the props you draw. Its usefulness will grow as well.]

Qiao Xi’s pretty brows wrinkled slightly as she accepted the explanation, “Draw it up.”

The big screen appeared in front of Qiao Xi the next second.

There is still the room where Lu Huo lives on the screen.

Little Lu Huo has grown in comparison to when he was more than three years old. He should look five or six years old, with more delicate and beautiful facial features.

He was dressed in a light blue shirt and had a milky white face that made him look like a little angel no matter what.

He clutched his stomach out of hunger.

The aunt who looked after him in the morning forgotten to send him breakfast. He skipped breakfast. It’s almost two o’clock in the afternoon now that noon has passed, and the aunt has also forgotten to bring him lunch.

Previously, the aunt would occasionally forget to feed him, but it was only one meal, and now she had forgotten two. Little Lu Huo was starving.

He exited the room, turning the small wheelchair.

Lu Rong Yao does not have to go to school today. Little Lu Huo pursed his lips, refusing to visit the villa. He was well aware that every time he faced Lu Rong Yao, he would suffer.

Turning the wheelchair, little Lu Huo arrived at the back door and discovered that it was unlocked.

The maid who looked after him had something to do today but couldn’t leave without permission, so she went out the back door. She walked quickly, and the door was unlocked.

Little Lu Huo exited through the back door.

For the first time, the little boy left the Lu home. He looked around, his big black eyes wide with excitement.

When crossing the street, an uncle with a hydrogen balloon tied to a bicycle next to him came to a complete stop.

He lowered his head and noticed Lu Huo’s bright eyes. “Little boy, this is a gift from uncle,” he said as he took a small goldfish-shaped hydrogen balloon from the front of the car and tied it to his small wheelchair.

The little goldfish balloon attached to the wheelchair continues to sway in the air.

Little Lu Huo pursed his lips shyly, his big eyes beaming, and he whispered, “Thank you.”

He was overjoyed because it was the first time he had received a gift!

Qiao Xi’s heart softened as she gazed at the image on the screen.
