The dog house stinks, especially now that it’s midsummer and the weather is hot and humid.

Little Lu Huo cried softly as he ate the candy, his big black eyes welling up with tears.

Candy is sour, not sweet.

It’s very sour.

Lu Rong Yao purposefully wrapped the sour skittles in candy wrappers to tease Lu Huo.

Lu Huo was sad with the candy in his mouth, but he was hesitant to spit it out.

Tears streamed down his cheeks one by one, and his black eyelashes were wet.

He wanted to go out and promised himself he would never eat candy again.

There are very few people who would come to this backyard, and the surroundings are very quiet.

Little Lu Huo leaned closer to the dog house’s door and looked out with teary eyes, only to see a small wheelchair nearby that had been trampled.

“Help Huo Huo.” Little Lu Huo sobbed, his voice slurred and soft, candy still in his mouth.

“Boys aren’t supposed to cry.”

Little Lu Huo raised his head in surprise when he heard a soft and pleasant voice. His white and tender face was filled with tears, and he stared blankly at the wooden planks surrounding him.

Nothing is in the dog house.

Qiao Xi was a bit frail. The prop she drew was a voice that could only be heard and communicated with Little Lu Huo. She had no way of rescuing Little Lu Huo.

She felt a little hollow; how could she possibly eliminate Lu Huo’s black energy in this sort of way?

“Huo Huo isn’t scared of ghosts.”

With a small face and clenched hands, Lu Huo’s big moist eyes widened.

Little Lu Huo used to cry a lot when he was younger. He was frequently terrified by the maids who looked after him. Ghosts would kidnap disobedient children. He didn’t understand, but he listened anyway.

Qiao Xi couldn’t help but laugh as she looked at the pitiful little boy who pretended to be strong.

Simply adorable.

“Don’t be afraid, I’m not a ghost.”

When Qiao Xi saw Little Lu Huo on the screen, she wished she could reach out and pinch his soft little cheeks.

“Who are you?” asked Lu Huo, his eyes wide with surprise.

“My name is Qiao Xi, the angel sister who is here to help you,” Qiao Xi said, her lips twitching.

Little Lu Huo blinked his big eyes, and small tears rolled down his lashes. “Hello Xixi, my name is Huo Huo,” he said in a baby voice.

“Please call me sister.” Qiao Xi purposefully teased him because she wanted to hear Lu Huo call her sister.

Little Lu Huo bit the skittles in his mouth, which were so sour that his little face wrinkled, and yelled, “Xixi!” again.

This little boy is really hard to coax.

“I can’t see Xixi.” Because someone was chatting with Little Lu Huo, he forgot he was locked in the dog house for a moment.

Qiao Xi noticed Little Lu Huo leaning against the wooden board, his little white shirt dirty, his hair a little messy, and his crying eyes especially bright. He looked up at the dog roof as if he wanted to find her.

“I can’t show up, so you’ll only hear my voice, are you afraid?”

“Is Xixi going to hit Huo Huo?” Little Lu Huo asked in hushed tones.

“I’m not going to hit you.”

He wouldn’t be afraid if Xixi didn’t hit him, so he said, “Huo Huo is not afraid of Xixi.”

Qiao Xi was amused, and Little Lu Huo was adorable and innocent.

The two talked until the sky began to darken.

In the backyard, only street lamps are installed, and the warm yellow light shines through the gaps into the dog house.

Even though there was only a faint light, Little Lu Huo did not cry or be afraid because Xixi was close.

“Grumble, grumble…” The little boy’s stomach rumbled.

Even though Little Lu Huo was still young, he was aware that this was something to be ashamed of. “Huo Huo is not hungry,” he said, covering his stomach with his two little hands.

Qiao Xi could clearly see his big eyes, bright and embarrassed, flashing through the big screen.

I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.” The prop she drew was a voice, saying, “All I can do is talk to you.”

“I like talking to Xixi,” said Lu Huo, his small mouth curved up.

Usually, none of his friends want to play with him. The aunt who looks after him is frequently absent. He is the only one who stays in the small room. This is the first time Little Lu Huo has spoken extensively to another person. He is overjoyed.

“Huo Huo wanted to talk with Xixi every day.” Lu Huo clutched his rumbling stomach and narrowed his eyes in delight.

“Are you hungry?” His stomach was growling, and Qiao Xi could hear it.

Little Lu Huo’s face was flushed in the dim light, but he replied truthfully, “I’m only a little hungry.”

Qiao Xi’s heart softened when she saw his adorable appearance.

“Do you want to hear a story?” “May I tell you a story?” She wanted to divert the little one’s attention away from his hunger.

Qiao Xi saw Little Lu Huo’s big eyes light up across the big screen, and he nodded his little head vigorously, “Okay.”

“What story do you want to hear?”

“Three little pigs, a wolf, or a little mermaid?” Qiao Xi pondered for a moment.

“I want to hear the little mermaid,” said Little Lu Huo, blinking his eyes open.

Qiao Xi’s voice is very pleasant, and it is even more so in the silence of the night. “The little mermaid in the sea swam ashore, his tail transformed into two feet, and he became a human.”

“The little mermaid was never taught to walk.” He stumbled on the road, and everyone looked at him strangely.”

Little Lu Huo listened intently, his black big eyes dimming, and he murmured, “Huo Huo can’t walk, either.”

Qiao Xi reached out her hand to touch his small head on the screen, but her hand was blocked by the large screen.

“The little mermaid met a beautiful and bad girl,” she went on. She became friends with the little mermaid in order to deceive the tears of the little mermaid.”

Little Lu Huo was puzzled, “Why?”

“Because the tears of the little mermaid will turn into treasure pearls.”

“Give her tears and be friends,” Little Lu said, dazed.

Qiao Xi smiled, his face was innocent and adorable.

Qiao Xi’s voice was pleasant and soft. Little Lu Huo closed his eyes slowly. He was, after all, a three-year-old child. He was terrified and cried after being tossed for so long. He was now too tired to sleep.

Qiao Xi’s eyes slumped. The Lu family had not yet come to find him, so they were obviously unaware that Lu Huo had gone missing.

The sky was already bright when the image on the big screen changed.

Little Lu Huo opened his big eyes slowly as if remembering why he was here.

“Xixi.” He spoke in hushed tones to Qiao Xi.

“I’m here.”

Little Lu’s eyes twinkled with delight, not fear, despite having been locked up all night.

“Tell me a story, Xixi.”

The little boy is still interested in last night’s story.

He hadn’t eaten or drank all day, Little Lu Huo was still young, his face was pale, and his small mouth was dried, and Qiao Xi felt distressed for a while.

“Don’t talk, I’ll tell you.”

Little Lu Huo obeyed by nodding.

“Every day, the bad girl makes the little mermaid happy in order to deceive the little mermaid.” The two become good friends, and the little mermaid is overjoyed.”

Suddenly, Qiao Xi heard other people’s voices.

Several people hurriedly walked from somewhere on the screen.

“Little Lu Huo, someone has come to save you,” she exclaimed, her face beaming.

“I’m still listening to the story,” said Lu Huo, blinking.

“Later, the bad girl told the little mermaid that she didn’t want to be friends with him,” Qiao Xi continued as she watched the younger Steward Lu open the lock of the dog house. “The little mermaid was sad, so he cried, and treasure pearls fell all over the floor.”

The dog house’s door was opened, allowing in fresh air and sunlight.

“Young Master Huo,” he says. When the Steward saw Lu Huo in the dog house, his heart sank, and he quickly reached out and carried him out.

“Do you feel any discomfort, Young Master Huo?”

Little Lu Huo shook his head, his focus not on being rescued, but on hearing the story of the little mermaid.

“Huo Huo still wants to hear it, Xixi.” In a baby voice, he said.

“What are you talking about, Young Master Huo?” Steward Lu inquired.

“Xixi, Xixi…” blinked little Lu Huo.

After little Lu Huo was rescued, the big screen in front of Qiao Xi vanished.

When she checked the time, she realized that a day had passed on the big screen, but she had only spent a few minutes watching it.

“Was that Lu Huo’s childhood playing on the screen?” “What happened?” Qiao Xi asked Bao Fu.

[Yes, Master,] Bao Fu confirmed to Qiao Xi [Lu Huo’s black energy has been reduced by 5%, Master continues to work hard!]

Qiao Xi was taken aback; she hadn’t expected it to be so effective.

She had no idea that Xiao Lu Huo had cried for an entire night in the dark dog house without the company of her voice. He had passed out by the time he was discovered the next day.

“Since it actually happened, I helped Lu Huo, should he treat me better after that?” Qiao Xi was a little happy thinking about this, but then she had a thought. “No, Little Lu Huo is only three years old; will he already have forgotten about me?”

Bao Fu’s baby voice was muffled as if he couldn’t bear telling her.

[Master, Lu Huo will forget what happened when you helped him in eliminating the black energy.]

“What?” Qiao Xi frowned.

[You don’t belong in that era. The system will automatically erase your memory in Lu Huo’s mind every time]

“You want me to be a good person without leaving a name?” Qiao Xi was irritated.

[After all of Lu Huo’s black energy has been removed, it is possible to restore his memory of you,] Bao Fu said quietly.

What Bao Fu didn’t dare to say was that unless Lu Huo grows very strong, he won’t remember anything.

Qiao Xi agreed, albeit reluctantly.

“Let’s go,” she said as she got out of bed.

[Where are you going, Master?]

“There are only six hours left to live, I’m going to Lu’s house to stay by his side,” Qiao Xi said as he glanced at the time, which was past two o’clock in the afternoon.

Mother Qiao was on the phone with a friend in the living room, and when she saw her daughter was leaving, she asked anxiously, “Xiao Xi, where do you want to go?”

Her daughter had been running out a lot recently, and she was concerned.

Of course, Qiao Xi would not reveal where she was going to look for Lu Huo, saying, “I made an appointment with a friend to go shopping.”

“Whatever you want to buy, Mother will have the store staff deliver it to your door so you can choose.” Mother Qiao wants her daughter to be with her all the time so she doesn’t have to worry about her.

“I have a meeting with a friend.” Don’t worry. I’ll take all of the medicine and keep it close to me.” Qiao Xi repeatedly stated that she would not allow anything bad to happen to her. Mother Qiao gave her permission to go out after repeatedly instructing her.

Qiao Xi asked the driver to take her to Lu’s house.

When she mentioned that she was looking for Lu Huo, Steward Lu politely declined, stating that Lu Huo needed to rest.

Old Man Lu appears to be obstinate about not allowing her to contact Lu Huo again.

[Master, they are refusing to let you see Lu Huo; what should we do?]

Bao Fu’s baby voice sounded a little worried. His first master was Qiao Xi.

Instead, Qiao Xi remained calm, saying, “There is still time.”

In the snack shop, the boss lady couldn’t help but notice the girl out of the corner of her eye, and she had no idea whose child she was to have such an outstanding appearance.

The Boss had seen many beautiful girls, but she had never seen such a stunning one.

The girl had a white and moist complexion, a small face, and delicate and flawless facial features.

The boss lady couldn’t help but look again. She didn’t know how to describe the girl’s stunning eyes, which were filled with water and round in shape.

“I want all of these candies wrapped up.” Qiao Xi pointed to the candies piled high on the shelves.

“This little girl bought so many candies, are you giving them away?” asked the boss lady, surprised and delighted. “Do you want me to wrap it up?”

“The packaging box should be beautiful,” Qiao Xi said, nodding.

“No problem, I’ll make it lovely for you.”

Night had fallen.

Lu Huo stepped out of the shower after washing his hair, and water droplets cascaded down his wet hair, slid across his cold and pale face, and sank into his collar, revealing a hint of silent sensuality.

The window was suddenly knocked.

He frowned and turned his wheelchair around to face the window.

He opened the windows, but there was nothing outside.

Lu Huo frowned.

‘Lu Huo.’ A girl’s sweet voice could be heard.

The girl stood up from the bottom of the window the next moment, holding a large gift box in her hand with difficulty and handing it to him.

“Lu Huo, this is for you.”

Her beautiful brows curved in the moonlight, and his face was reflected in her eyes.

“Why are you here again?” Lu Huo asked quietly.

Qiao Xi noticed that the black energy on the back of his hand had decreased from 80% to 75%, and the corners of her lips had raised, making her smile more charming and sweet. “I miss you,” the words came out casually.

She only had a half-hour to live, so she had no choice but to stay by Lu Huo’s side.
